Terms of use
The short version: it's a game played with simulated money. Play fair, be decent to each other, and don't mistake any of it for financial advice.
1. What Awarnda is
Awarnda provides simulated trading competitions. All contests are played with demo funds. We do not accept deposits, hold client money, execute real trades, offer financial products, or pay out winnings of any kind.
2. No financial advice
Nothing on the platform - contests, leaderboards, prices, other users' activity - is financial advice, a recommendation, or an inducement to trade. Simulated performance is not indicative of real trading results. If you choose to trade real money anywhere, that decision and its consequences are entirely yours.
3. Prizes are not ours
If participants in a contest privately agree on stakes or prizes, that arrangement exists between those participants only. We are not a party to it, we do not hold or transfer anything of value for it, and we take no responsibility for it. You are responsible for ensuring any such arrangement is lawful where you live.
4. Credits and payments
Credits are a prepaid way to unlock optional contest features. They are sold in packs, priced in US dollars, and processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices may have tax added at checkout depending on where you live. Credits are not money, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and do not expire. Credits already spent on a contest feature are not refundable. Unspent credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase on request to hello@awarnda.com. If a payment is reversed or refunded, the corresponding credits are removed from your balance, which may leave it negative until topped up.
Awarnda runs an affiliate programme, described on the affiliates page. Affiliates earn a share of credit purchases made by people who signed up through their link. Commissions are held until the refund window has passed, are reversed if the purchase is refunded, and are paid out manually once a minimum balance is reached. Self-referral, misleading promotion and bidding on the Awarnda name are prohibited and end participation with any unpaid commission forfeited.
5. Your account
You need to be at least 18 to use Awarnda. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person - multiple accounts in the same contest defeats the point and will get all of them removed.
6. Fair play
Organisers set contest rules and the platform enforces them mechanically. Exploiting pricing errors, automating trading against contest spirit, colluding across accounts, or harassing other participants can lead to disqualification from contests or removal from the platform, at our discretion.
7. Content
You own what you post; you grant us the licence needed to display it within the platform. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, or spam. Contest chat is visible to everyone in the contest.
8. Availability
The platform is provided as-is. Simulated prices, standings and results may occasionally be delayed, interrupted or corrected. Because no real money is involved, our liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be flagged on the site; continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it.
